The fashion industry, like other top industries in the world is known as a global village, thriving in almost all its spheres largely by the advent of the internet and social media. However, this thriving has designed another pattern that has gradually presented the fashion world as a monarchical government run by a company of family and friends. This government has ensured that the affairs of its different arms are controlled by a select few who, regardless of their level of competencies and eligibilities, have gotten to their respective places of power by either inheritance or acquaintance. While this system has its advantages and has over time built a strong and formidable industry, it has, however, over-concentrated exponential opportunities meant for the advancement of the fashion world into the hands of a few which could hamper the maximum use of human resources and the future of the industry as a major player. The brand is an initiative birthed with the purpose to penetrate the hierarchies of the industries by opening up otherwise sacred platforms that have been graced by the so-called privileged ones and exposing the authority of the industries to competence and not sentiments. Without downplaying the legacy of the industry’s sages both past and present, we believe that fashion, on all levels, should live true to its creed as a spec of art that needneeds to be explored by creative minds across the globe.
